Let me tell you a beautiful story of a game engine called Pixel Game Maker MV

An engine that could make anyone, with only a bit of coding knowledge, make a platformer game easy and fast

And it worked! it was indeed easy and fast

What it failed to inform was the fact that it would take a shit ton of updates and programs and random .dll files to actually make it work on someone elses computer

This is what happened to this game

Now we are here, a pretty game that only works 50% of the time

Of course, I cant blame everything wrong about this game on the engine. My decisions game design wise were also deficient

this includes difficulty, level saving, bug catching, coding, and more??

But! Its pretty

So, I have been thinking

I am now more well versed in game development, both coding and design wise, as you can see from my other projects

So, I could re-make this game, in either GameMaker or Godot

What would I change:

• Difficulty= Basically an Easy/Normal/Hard mode, so players that are not that good dont have to rely on inmortality
• Saving= Im thinking having the stages separated, a bit like Megaman, +having to unlock them
• Different levels= theres some levels that are way too hard or annoying to finish, so they should be changed
• Controls= Not just change them, but making them editable
• Ports = If its made using Godot, it would also be available for Mac users. Perhaps even on browser like Character Pattern is
• And More? = I would like to fix some of the art

When would I do this? Probably at the end of the year. Not only I have an original game I'd like to work on but also Academic stuff is in all time high these months. Im guessing the earliest I have time would be September/October

Of course, it would be free, donations appreciated but not obligatory

Even if it sucks again it would at least be playable.

Honestly at this point ive forgotten its a fangame, I just want to make a fun platformer.
